  • And much more!

With Everyman Gaming, innovation is never more than a page away!

Who Are Your Childhood Heroes?

One thing that I enjoy doing with Everyman Gaming products is making sure to follow through with things I've created, provided that they get a warm reception. I don't like doing a "one and done" approach primarily because I never only have a single thought or a single take on a given concept or idea. Take, for instance, August's Everyman Options: Paranormal Classes. Its predecessor, Paranormal Adventures, was popular and I knew that I had a LOT more to say about paranormal character options because Paranormal Adventures didn't have many that weren't for the shapeshifter and vessel base classes. But even building on that, there was more that I wanted to say and do with the shapeshifter and vessel. So I grabbed author Matt Morris and the two of us got to work on making those additional options happened. Options tied to the existing product that were ultimately their own thing.

Currently, I'm in a similar place with Childhood Adventures. Like Paranormal Adventures, Childhood Adventures was popular—popular enough to warrant some more options being devised for it. But I didn't want to do, "Kid archetypes," and "Kid options." I avoided that in Childhood Adventures because I think that its sort of demeaning when you say, "Option X is for characters of age category Y only." It sets a bad tone for what kind of characters the product's for, and for what characters of different ages can look and act like. So instead, I decided that I wanted the Childhood Adventures tie-in to be themed around our childhoods—childhood characters and heroes that we've grown up with but are unsupported in Pathfinder. My current idea for the project is called Everyman Options: Childhood Heroes, and I'm hoping to release it early on in 2017.

But I'm running into a problem with Childhood Heroes, and that's one simple factor—I recognize that our childhoods are all different. There are regional differences, generational differences, and more. How can I possibly get a good variety of childhood heroes to build for this product when I've only really got access to Eastern American ideas. So I decided to head to the Paizo forums and start a thread, asking people, "Who are your childhood heroes?"

Childhood Adventures is pretty far off still, but I'd appreciate it if you'd offer your thoughts on the subject—you can do so either by commenting on this post, below, or by going to the link provided to Paizo.com and sharing your thoughts on the thread I've created. So what do you say? Wanna make some heroes with Everyman Gaming?

Corruption Codex — Now Available Everywhere!

Something Twisted Has Arrived in Stores!

You might even say that our new corruptions are a tad bit...infectious!

You might even say that our new corruptions are a tad bit...infectious!

Everyman Gaming is proud to announced that their latest product, the Corruption Codex, is now available everywhere that digital Pathfinder products are sold!

The Corruption Codex is a product so wicked that it took two publishers (Everyman Gaming and Rogue Genius Games) working together, plus three of Pathfinder's most talented authors (Alexander Augunas, N. Jolly, and Isabelle Lee) to concoct it! The Corruption Codex offers four new corruptions, new feats that enhance or styme a corruption's taint, new magic items, new simple templates, and more. Combined, it revolutionizes how the corruption mechanic from Pathfinder Roleplaying Game: Horror Adventures operates both for players and GMs.

Don't wait, pick up the Corruption Codex from your favorite webstore today!

Everyman Miniature(s?) and Shoshie's Magnificent Mini Painting

Coming soon to a webstore near you!

Everyman Gaming LLC is excited to announce that we're working with Imagine 3D Miniatures to create custom 3D Sculpted roleplaying miniatures based upon our Iconic Characters. Our first character is Kyr'shin Yilenzo, who has been described as "the face of Everyman Gaming," by Endzeitgeist. To celebrate the occasion, we had professional miniature painter Shoshanna  Bauer of Shoshie's Magnificent Mini Painting to give Kyr'shin the professional paint job he's always dreamed of.

If you want to get an idea of what this miniature will look like once Shoshie's finished painting it, check out her Facebook group! She's putting her in In-Progress pictures today, while the finished product will be revealed later this week.

Regarding how our miniatures sculpts will evolve from here? We're not sure yet! One idea that gets tossed around a lot is starting a Patreon and allowing high-tier Patreons to vote on which Iconic(s) will be next to get made into miniatures, but we're still hashing that one out. In the meantime, enjoy this awesome 360 Render courtesy of Imagine 3D Miniatures and check out Shoshie's work at the link below!

A Look Inside the Corruption Codex

October is almost here, and you know what that means! The 30 nights of Halloween!

In the spirit of all things spooky and spectacular, Isabelle Lee, N. Jolly, Everyman Gaming's Alex Augunas, and the illustrious Rogue Genius Games have an extra-special treat for your goodie bags in the month of October—the Corruption Codex! Built using the new corruption rules from Pathfinder Roleplaying Game: Horror Adventures, the Corruption Codex has new corruptions AND new mechanics to support them, allowing GMs to twist their PCs into horrific new forms and players to build and gear for it!

But don't take my word for it, enjoy some of the all-new content from the Corruption Codex!

First up, let's take a sneak peak at what happens when you find yourself on the wrong side of a devolutionist druid or one of the enigmatic annunnaki. Why, its devolution of course!

Unlike other corruptions, the devolution corruption often claims its victims simply through the passage of time, though indulging in physical sensations or primal behaviors speeds up the rate that your mental state deteriorates at. At each corruption stage (including stage 0) you have an amount of sentience equal to the sum of your mental ability scores (Intelligence + Wisdom + Charisma). Whenever an opportunity to act out a significant primal behavior or desire occurs, you are tempted to take it. This action might include acting aggressively or competitively, acquiring basic necessities for survival, experiencing carnal or sensual pleasure, or experiencing fear or terror. What counts as significant is up to the GM, but any effect that inspires such emotions always counts as being significant. Whenever you perform such an action, you must succeed at a Will save or lose fragments of your mind to these primal desires. Failing the save reduces your sentience by 1d20. When your sentience reaches 0, your corruption advances to the next stage, replenishing your sentience using your newly modified mental ability scores.

Devolution is definitely NOT a good way to "get the girl."

Devolution is definitely NOT a good way to "get the girl."

If you procreate while corrupted, your children’s natural Intelligence and Charisma take the same penalties or reductions you had from your corruption when you sired them. This effect cannot be lifted by magic. Progeny you sire while corrupted also possess physical traits that were more common among earlier evolutionary forms of their parent species (such as elongated foreheads in humans).

Corruption Stage 1: The first time your sentience reaches 0, your alignment shifts one step towards neutral. Your Intelligence and Charisma scores are reduced by 4 (minimum 2). If you are capable of casting spells or spell-like abilities, each time you cast a spell there is a 25% chance that the spell will fail, as if you had failed a concentration check to cast the spell defensively.

Corruption Stage 2: The second time your sentience reaches 0, your alignment shifts to neutral. Your Intelligence and Charisma scores are reduced by an additional 4 (minimum 2), and you cannot read or speak without difficulty—reading and speaking are move actions for you instead of free actions. In addition, the chance for any spell or spell-like ability that you cast to fail is increased to 50%, and casting spells that require verbal components is a full-round action for you (if the spell takes 1 or more rounds to cast, increase the number of rounds needed to cast the spell by 1 instead).

Corruption Stage 3: The third time your sentience reaches 0, and you become an NPC under the GM’s control. Your Intelligence and Charisma scores are reduced to 2, your type changes to animal, you lose all spellcasting and abilities that require intelligence (including the ability to understand language or communicate coherently), you can’t wield manufactured weapons, and you can’t use skills other than Acrobatics, Climb, Escape Artist, Fly, Intimidate, Perception, Stealth, Survival, and Swim.

If you're looking for particularly twisted things, then look no further than the Voidspawn Corruption! Representing a corruptive taint from an interdimensional entity beyond time and space, players of a particularly popular plane-hopping card game will probably enjoy what terrible fate is just waiting to befall them after they succumb to voidspawn corruption.

Beckon Alien

Your presence is a beacon to alien monstrosities.

Prerequisite: Manifestation level 5th.

Gift: Once per day, you can summon a single otherworldly horror as a standard action. This functions as the summon universal monster rule (see the universal monster rules in the appendix of Pathfinder Roleplaying Game: Bestiary), with a spell level equal to your manifestation level and a chance to summon a voidspawn drone (see page 23) equal to 10% per manifestation level you possess. At manifestation level 7th, you may instead summon 1d3 voidpawn drones. At manifestation level 9th, all voidspawn drones that you summon have the advanced simple template (Pathfinder Roleplaying Game: Bestiary). You can use this ability twice per day at manifestation level 7th, and three times per day at manifestation level 9th.

Stain: Whenever your summon ability fails, there is a 10% chance per manifestation level you possess that one or more cosmic horrors hijack your spell and uses you to enter your world. This functions as greater planar binding, except the creature cannot be trapped, does not perform any services for you, and can remain in your world for as long as it wishes and return from whence it came whenever it pleases. The creature called can be any listed by a contact entityHA spell of your summon ability’s spell level or lower, though voidspawn drones are the most common creatures to hijack such summons.

In addition to these teasers, you'll find four complete corruptions, two pages of new magic items, four new simple corruption templates, a new monster (the voidspawn drone), and new feats that allow you to give into your corruption or attempt to save yourself from its clutches. If the Corruption Codex is popular, we're looking into creating an entire line of Corruption-themed products, including templates that allow you to modify how a corruption works, corruptions that transform you into a particularly famous Symbiote anti-hero, new feats and spells, and so much more!

If this seems exciting to you, consider picking up the Corruption Compendium—available at DriveThru RPG, the Open Gaming Store, and Paizo in October!

Something Corrupt This Way Comes

Releasing in early October in 2016, Everyman Gaming and Rogue Genius Games are proud to introduce their section joint product—the Corruption Codex, Volume 1. Moving forward, we're hoping to make the Corruption Codex an ongoing product line that we eventually pull together into a larger book called the Corruption Compendium, but we're getting ahead of ourselves. Let's talk a bit about the futures of the first volume of the Corruption Codex.

Each volume of the Corruption Codex will be roughly 20 pages long (though future volumes may be longer if volume 1 proves popular). The Corruption Codex will introduce four new corruptions and one "innovation," a section designed to radically alter the way corruptions are used in your game. Volume 1's corruptions are Alien-Blighted, Devolved, Fungal, and Kaiju (featuring the Macrosized Character rules from Microsized Adventures), and its innovations include new feats designed to help characters weather the perils of being corrupted and new magic items that interact specifically with corruptions, be it embracing them or purging them.

We're adding two new freelancer faces to the Everyman Gaming lineup alongside Alex Augunas, the Everyman Gamer himself, to help us make Corruption Codex 1 (and any subsequent issues of the Corruption Codex we create) a reality. Pathfinder fans will likely recognize these names—Isabelle Lee, Paizo freelancer and major contributor to the Aethera Campaign Setting, and N. Jolly, the legendary mind behind the runaway success that is the Kineticists of Polymorpha line. Jacob Blackmon returns with all-new art for the line as well, which features iconic characters both hero and villain being helplessly corrupted by the corruptions at work in the Corruption Codex.

All three authors have some pretty wicked ideas for corruptions and innovations if the Corruption Codex proves popular. Isabelle Lee has been practically cackling at the opportunity to create an entire slew of corruptions based around the fiendish races (kytons in particular), while N Jolly has been furiously scribbling notes in his journal while muttering something about a "corrupted" base class. Alex Augunas, on the other hand, has been downright giddy with his prototypes for corruption templates, a system he claims will allow GMs to retrofit corruptions with new rules in new and exciting ways.

Corruption looms in distance, my friends. Why bother fleeing from it when you could embrace it! Embrace it and all the wonderful power it has to offer you—you need only pay the price....

Macrosized Adventures gone horribly, horribly wrong!

Microsized Adventures and Paranormal Classes Available in Print!

Hello Everyman Gaming fans!

I'm currently hard at work completing the Dynastic Races Compendium and putting together a currently unannounced product, but I wanted to stop in quickly and chime in that two of our products are now available in print—Microsized Adventures and Everyman Options: Paranormal Classes

Microsized Adventures is our critically-acclaimed book devoted to scratching the itch of, "Let's shrink the players until they're 1 inch tall." Endzeitgeist raved about Microsized Adventures, rating it 5 of 5 stars and naming it the 5th Best 3PP Product of 2016. To celebrate, we decided to update Microsized Adventure's art, expand it, and restructure it specifically to make it suitable for printing. So now the dream is here—hooray!

It would probably look a lot less humiliating if it didn't look like the lid to an old lady's teapot.

Gee, doesn't that doll look familiar....

Everyman Options: Paranormal Classes, on the other hand, was co-written by Alex Augunas and Matt Morris, and was designed to provide even more archetypes and feats designed to help players play "paranormal characters," such as a vessel who is being inhabited by a yithian, an arcanist who has a measure of power over ley lines, and a witch capable of turning people into dolls. After a strong opening month, Everyman Options: Paranormal Classes is ready to grace your tables in brilliant color—provided you pick up a copy ASAP.

Currently, these products are print-on-demand at DriveThru RPG, but I wouldn't be surprised if we manage to get a few copies into Paizo and the Open Gaming Store by the middle of next month or so. Keep your eyes peeled, and thanks for supporting us!

Welcome to the New Everyman Gaming Website!

Today, I am happy to announce the opening of a new chapter for Everyman Gaming LLC—the introduction of our company website!

It goes without saying that in the modern world, companies need websites, and it always struck me as a bit odd that we didn't have one. After all, Everyman Gaming primarily deals in digital products. What kind of digital company doesn't have a website?! Well, that isn't Everyman Gaming any longer, that's for sure.

I'm still working on figuring out the layout that I want for the site and getting features set up. One thing that I REALLY want the site to have is a Partners page that gives a shoutout to the fine companies and freelancers that Everyman Gaming deals with on a daily basis. Each and every one of those people is awesome, and I want to personally make sure that they get the recognition they deserve. Another feature that I'm planning to add is a direct link to our Facebook page (although the Facebook page already has a link here). I've got an open ear to whatever other features our customers are interesting in seeing on the site, though I caution you that there's only so much I can add to the site without making it cost too much money or time to be worth keeping. (You won't, for example, see me put a shopfront here.)

As for what I'm going to do with this blog? I don't know—I haven't really decided. I might end up pasting the Kickstarter updates for the Dynastic Races Compendium here. I'll almost certainly do product blurbs. Maybe I'll do some design musing (though I have Know Direction's Guidance to that last one). I guess we'll just have to wait and see.

Thanks again for supporting Everyman Gaming—we most certainly couldn't do anything like this without our loyal fans!

Alexander Augunas, the Everyman Gamer
