Everyman Minis: Transpositional Creatures
By Alexander Augunas
For the Pathfinder RPG customer who wants a little more, Everyman Gaming is proud to introduce Everyman Minis! Uniting several high-quality Pathfinder RPG freelancers under a single product line, each week a different Everyman Gaming author or freelancer tackles an exciting new topic by creating a miniature product specially designed to scratch that product’s particular itch.
This installment of Everyman Minis includes: 1,000 words introducing an all-new simple template for the Pathfinder RPG, the transpositional creature! Representing a creature that’s become unhinged from its native plane, a transpositional creature is capable of teleporting between planes and between locations on those planes. When a transpositional creature moves between planes, it tears a hole in the fabric of reality and can drag its victims back through this gap, trapping them permanently. In addition to this grisly new template, a sample CR 11 transpositional gug is provided, as is a new animal companion archetype that allows players to spot several of the tools and mechanics associated with this archetype.
With Everyman Gaming, innovation is never more than a page away!
“Alexander Augunas’ transpositional creatures are unique – the template and companion archetype are distinctly high-fantasy in an evocative way – phasing, Okami-style spirit wolf companion? Heck yeah! Nasty, wormhole-leaving abductors or even, allies that show the PCs the planar distortions in a dungeon that has different iterations, Legacy of Kain-style? Oh yeah! This has potential galore, and even though CR +1 is perhaps a bit low, as a whole, this is a resounding success. My final verdict will clock in at 4.5 stars, rounded up due to being closer to 5, and this does get my seal of approval.”
