Tell Your Story!

The Eversaga Roleplaying Game features a flexible system of three game modes designed to help define what characters can do at any moment.

Encounter Mode is a highly structured, high-risk gameplay mode where players attempt to solve problems head-on. Encounter mode features deadly combats with terrifying foes as well as more abstract challenges, such as scaling a mountain or babysitting for a trio of rambunctious children. The Eversaga Roleplaying Game provides the GM with all the tools they need to build a diverse array of encounters to suit any group’s playstyle.

In Encounter Mode, you:

  • Fight dangerous monsters.

  • Navigate deadly hazards.

  • Engage in high-stakes gameplay with great risk and greater reward.

Overland Mode is designed to allow players total freedom to explore their environments. Rather than being limited to the rigid structure of an encounter, overland mode allows players to interact with their environment and their (and their GM’s) own pace.

In Overland Mode, you:

  • Interact with other people, places, and things.

  • Travel to new places both near and far away.

  • Sneak around, investigate, and explore your environment.

Slice of Life Mode is a freeform gameplay mode that allows characters to perform tasks related to their everyday lives. Working a day job, crafting items, or spending time relaxing are all things that characters regularly do during slice of life mode. And they’ll need to! From deadly hazards to nefarious monsters, there’s no shortage of obstacles that’ll earn the PCs a little R&R at the end of their adventures!

In Slice of Life Mode, you:

  • Build relationships with NPCs.

  • Manage a home or business, hone a trade, or work a career.

  • Spend XP to learn new abilities and level up.

  • Grow up or grow older.
