Like 'lil Loza here, I can barely contain my excitement that the Dynastic Races Compendium is FINALLY done!

It's here! It's finally here!

The Dynastic Races Compendium is officially available at all major online RPG vendors!

The Dynastic Races Compendium was a project that I've wanted to do since the Samsaran Compendium, where the notion of such a book is mentioned in my author anecdote. The idea is simple—breathe new life into four races that have very little substantial information written about them in the context of the Pathfinder Roleplaying Game. I had the words in my head, but I lacked the funds to fully illustrate such an illustrious tome, so I turned to Kickstarter for help. 175 stupendous, patient backers gave me all the the help that I needed to make the Dynastic Races Compendium happen, and I couldn't be prouder of the results.

Within the Dynastic Races Compendium, you'll find all-new information about the four titular "dynastic races," the willy and capricious kitsune, the noble and proud nagaji, the timeless and enigmatic samsarans, and the shifty and elusive wayangs. But don't take my word for it, check out some of the new content yourself!

Everything You Could Ever Want to Know

The Dynastic Races Compendium opens with four sections—one dedicated to each of the four dynastic races. Within, you can learn general facts and information about each race, study their biology and ethnic groups, learn about their culture and religion, and even pick up a thing or two about a unique topic that pertains to each race. Each race's section also includes sample origin stories that members of the race adhere to (or that other races believe about that race), and there's even a sample religion for each deity as well.

For me, I think designing the new cultures was the most fascinating part of writing these chapters of the Dynastic Races Compendium. As a writer, I'm mostly known for my crunch work, but if you pick up the Dynastic Races Compendium, prepare to see me at my prosiest. I'm particularly proud of my work with the wayangs, specifically the way I wove a racial sense of nihilism into a functionally believable outlook on life.

In addition to those four monstrous chapters, you'll find a massive array of new character options for your kitsune, nagaji, samsaran, and wayang characters. Whether you're looking for a new alternate race trait (we've got over a dozen per race), new archetypes or feats, new spells, or even some new character traits, the Dynastic Races Compendium has something that'll cater to your interests! What's better? Well, most of the archetypes especially aren't racially locked, so even if you're just interested in dabbling in the flavor of these races, you'll likely find something of interest!

One new rules element that I'm especially excited for is a new feat for kitsune called Foxfire Wysp. This new feat allows kitsune characters to have a special familiar that functions similarly to a cross between a wysp and a will-'o-the-wisp, allowing kitsune to grab a little buddy that perfectly meshes their eastern flavor. Awesomely enough, the foxfire wysp isn't an elemental or an aberration, like its name would suggest. Instead, it functions as a special type of kami that also has the kitsune subtype, and its presence can actually empower kitsune and kami alike.

Although it wasn't originally in the outline, another part of the book that I'm REALLY excited about is, of all things, the appendix. This useful section of the book includes a LOT of information that I feel is crucial to playing a dynastic race. This includes the charts and tables needed to randomly determine your character's age, height, and weight, but it ALSO includes special tables for the dynastic races that are designed to fit seamlessly with the Pathfinder Roleplaying Game's background generator. In a single book, you'll have everything you need to create a dynastic races character, craft its background and character history, and customize it however you see fit!

The Dynastic Races Compendium is available now from all major digital PDF vendors. We hope you'll take the time to pick this one up—its got a lot of heart and soul in it, and I am confident that you'll never pick up a race book that respects its topics as much as this one. Our motto has always been, "Innovation is never more than a page way," but with the Dynastic Races Compendium, we hold true to our core values in the biggest way possible!
